Principal's Message
Brad has been a life-long Californian, growing up in San Jose, California. His father and grandfather were farmers and instilled an incredible work ethic in him at a young age.
He attended the University of California at Irvine where he received his degree in History and his teaching credential.
Brad moved with his wife the summer they were married to Sonoma County to set down roots and to grow a family. He now has lived in Sonoma County for over 22 years with his wife and four children.
Brad was a classroom teacher at the middle school level for 10 years. He received his Administrative Credential and Master’s Degree from Sonoma State University. For the next 15 years he served at Santa Rosa High School, 8 of them as the Principal. Brad is now the Principal of Hidden Valley Elementary School in Santa Rosa.
Brad has always been a champion for students. With his fresh perspective and new ideas, and with 30 years of experience in education, Brad is undaunted by the challenges that face Sonoma County. He is well-known for his budget expertise, having successfully managed budgets in the millions of dollars.
Brad’s vision is clear: He believes our children are our greatest resource and need to have student supported leadership. He will promote responsible and meaningful fiscal oversight of budgets, making sure funding goes to our students and classrooms first through his honesty, integrity and transparency. Brad truly cares about his students and staff.
